Local Trail Update 1/4/20

BEAR LAKE:

We do not advise travel on Bear Lake quite yet. We’re testing daily and will post as soon as we get the thumbs up.

TRAIL LAKE:

The gate is now closed, however, the snow is thin and there are a lot of rocks. Take your rocks skis.

TERN LAKE:

Good to go, but of course, take all your personal safety precautions and be aware of thin ice or open water near inlets/outlets.

MILE 48:

The alder patches are well on the way to being bogged down by the snow and it’s still low snow, but skiable.

LOWER AND UPPER TRAIL LAKES:

We do not advise travel on either lake. Both froze a bit odd this year, with many zones left open for a prolonged period of time.  We’re watching and will post as soon as we get the thumbs up.
